Luncheons
The BIWA Luncheons are a great venue for meeting old friends and making new ones. The Luncheons start at 10:00 AM allowing plenty of time to chat with friends and look at the products the different vendors are displaying. The vendors vary from Luncheon to Luncheon so you never know what kind of bargains you will find.
Each month a different group hosts the Luncheon. That means that they plan the entertainment, food and the raffle prizes. Past Luncheon hosts include Japanese, Korean, International and Scandinavian groups. Board members have also hosted luncheons.
All proceeds from the raffle are used for charity purposes. This typically includes purchasing Christmas presents for kids in the children's homes we support, taking the children out for a beach day complete with food, fun, and games or perhaps assisting with tuition for students who wish to go to university. In addition, we continue to support the elderly in our community by providing cooking gas and food and each month BIWA members volunteer at the local soup kitchen and study rooms.
You can enjoy delicious food, excellent company and have a great time at the Luncheon and support our beautiful Busan community at the same time! Isn't that a win-win situation?
Hope to see you!
Friends, food, and fun!

February's luncheon was hosted by our Japanese BIWA members. We we had so much fun learning about Setsubun! Setsubun is the first day of spring by the lunar calendar and there is a custom of throwing soybeans.
