It is indeed a great honor to be elected as President of our Association. I am deeply moved and thank you for the confidence you have shown me. I am proud to be a member of such a wonderful association. BIWA has helped me to successfully transition into the expat life here in Busan. I have come to know and befriend so many amazing and knowledgeable women from different countries and cultures.
I have been an active member since June 2015. From October 2015 to May 2016, I served as the International Representative in charge of the BIWA Facebook pages, Evite, and the BIWA website. I have been on the Christmas Bazaar and Spring Ball

committees during this last BIWA year. I also teach art to some of the BIWA members. As this year’s BIWA President, I look forward to putting my experience and education to good use.
I attended Tarleton State University, in Texas, U.S.A., majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. I graduated with honors in May 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. As the Vice President and Risk Management Officer for the Tarleton State University Sociology Club, I organized and assisted in many community fundraising events. I was also a member of the Tarleton State University Criminal Justice Association.
I worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a Urology office, and in the local school district in my hometown of Granbury, Texas, U.S.A. I was also a substitute teacher supervising students of all ages and educational levels. I established and maintained positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues fostering an environment of open communication and support. While employed as a property manager in Texas, I supervised employees, managed all facets of the office such preparing reports, conducting interviews and criminal background checks, and managed bank accounts.
Volunteering my time and experience to BIWA is a rewarding job. I look forward to working with my fellow BIWA members in providing support to many charities and individuals who are in need in Busan and the Kyongsang Namdo area. I look forward to serving as your president for this coming year.
Best Regards,
